Gemma has been a Project Manager in the UK for 10 years and has overseen a range of projects from project design to publication on everything from short small-scale watching briefs up to large commercial projects spanning a number of years.
Gemma completed both her undergraduate and master's degrees in field archaeology, specialising in Ancient Near Eastern archaeology and languages (including Sumerian and Akkadian). Upon graduation, she undertook several projects over a number of years in the region, most notably excavation and landscape survey at various sites in the Qadisha Valley, Lebanon, and Domuztepe, Turkey, as well as personal research work regarding rock art in Syria, before returning to the UK to focus on commercial projects in London and the South East. Gemma is an experienced archaeologist with a global outlook, having worked in various countries including the UK, Denmark, France, Italy and the Caribbean both in urban and rural settings, managing teams of up to 60 people in the process. In these roles, she has worked at all levels from Site Assistant to Project Officer. Health and Safety Qualifications
