Project Manager
Phil graduated from Sheffield University in 2001 and since then has been employed in commercial archaeology. He has directed and then managed large fieldwork excavations for infrastructure projects comprising pipelines, road schemes, windfarms and a nuclear power station. He has reported on hundreds of projects taking several of them through to publication. A few years ago he made the switch to heritage consultancy and in this role gained further experience of assessment work including the preparation of Historic Environment Desk-Based Assessments, Heritage Statements and Cultural Heritage chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments. Phil returned to archaeological project management when he moved to Red River Archaeology in mid-2021.
